Miseria Visage debut album 'Ritualized' streaming now!

It's been a long time coming, but we can now announce that Miseria Visage's debut album is finished and is set for release on March 31st 2019. After hearing the masters for ourselves we can definitely say it's been worth the wait as these nine epic tracks mark a huge turning point for the project in terms of production quality and a fresh new direction in composition and songwriting, heading off into less blackened, more doom and heavy metal territory, yet still with their undeniable gothic pomp.

The entirety of 'Ritualized' can already be streamed free from the Miseria Visage Soundcloud, so there's no reason not get a taste a few days before the release date.

So what are our artists up to?

Morodh went back into the rehearsal studio recently and are writing material for their first album-length release! You can keep up-to-date with Morodh's activities through Ragnaar's blog.

Miseria Visage is in the process of planning and collecting ideas for a new work, after only just releasing their first debut CD EP 'Vanish Into Dark' which you can get right now, from bandcamp!

Mourning Hours is currently writing music for a new album, so far we've heard some samples of work-in-progress tracks that sound great, looking forward to this one. We are planning a short run CD release for this new work. Find out more on the Mourning Hours website.

After writing some new material for our 'Tribune Of Shadow' sampler, Koboloris has taken a short break to recharge their creative energies. Now they are showing signs of a new direction, centered around a different approach to the guitar sound and drums. You can hear a sample of this on soundcloud.

Bergelmir is waiting for the right conditions to finish off recording the debut release 'Infernal Solitude', you can't rush work like this, we know when it's ready we will have some excellent raw DBM on our roster.

The week it all kicks off!

This week is something of a momentous occasion for our label, as we take our first steps towards releasing music as it should be released - in physical form, albeit on a fittingly underground scale ..

On Wednesday 30th January, the Three Rooks Records online shop will open. With just one item to sell so far (Miseria Visage's debut EP), we are hoping to grow the shop in the coming months with more CD releases, and possibly some other merch items such as t-shirts etc.

Also, Mourning Hours is currently working on a new album, so hopefully we will be doing a physical release of this too, later in 2013.

Miseria Visage progress report

With just over thirty days to go,  Miseria Visage is gearing up in preparation for the release of the debut EP 'Vanish into Dark',

This will be the first in-house physical release of Three Rooks Records, through our Official Site.

Finishing touches are being applied to the music, including some additional vocals, final mixing work and mastering. Expect a new preview video (with vocals this time) very soon!

We have been doing some trial printing runs of different disc surface designs, to see which look best in the flesh. After a little more development, the final design will be ready and we can start to replicate the EP discs!

Winter Release Schedule !

We are proud to present our schedule of releases for this winter, packed full of dark music from nearly every artist on our roster. We all know it's the perfect time of the year for cold guitar riffs and blast beats!

28th December 2012 - 'Infernal Solitude', Bergelmir's debut EP, download from Bandcamp, possibly limited CD's on demand. Raw, depressive BM with a cold atmosphere.

15th January 2013 - 'Tribune of Shadow', 3-way promo split EP featuring Mourning Hours, Miseria Visage and Koboloris. Each artist is contributing two tracks, some unique to this release, some from upcoming releases in the near future. A taste of things to come. Free download from Bandcamp.

30th January 2013 - 'Vanish into Dark', debut EP from Miseria Visage, two versions:
Version one:  6 track audio CD, limited to 30 copies first press, on sale from the Three Rooks Official Site.
Version two: 4 track digital download from Bandcamp, name your own price.
Symphonic BM with lots of melodic twists and turns, still retaining darker, heavier moments.

27th February 2013 - ?? The second EP release from Koboloris, as yet unnamed, at least 6 tracks on audio CD limited to 30 copies first press, possibly a Bandcamp download version too. Riff driven melodic BM with a darkly epic feel and punishing rhythms. Currently being recorded and mixed.

New 3-way split release announcement!

We are proud to announce a new three-way split EP, scheduled
 for release on January 15th 2013 ..

'Tribune of Shadow' will be a three-way split between Miseria Visage, Mourning Hours and Koboloris. Each artist is contributing two tracks to this six-song EP, which will give listeners a taste of what is to come later in the year when these three projects release new music of their own.


Best of all, Tribune of Shadow will be free to download from the
Three Rooks Bandcamp and Three Rooks Records website, as a promotional EP to showcase the new works of the contributing musicians.

Good news for fans of Symphonic or Avant-Garde Black Metal ..

We can now reveal that the release date of the Miseria Visage debut EP will be January 30th 2013!

'Vanish into Dark' will be available in two versions -
Firstly as a CD EP with 6 tracks (that's two bonus tracks!), limited to a first press of 30 copies, secondly
as a 4 track digital download via Bandcamp where you can name your own price!

Expect Vanish into Dark to be the first release to arrive in our new online store that will soon be launched.
We will also publish the tracklist soon! Check out the teaser video for a taste of what to expect ..

New Youtube channel and artist progress ..

Three Rooks Records is now on youtube! Over the next few days we will be uploading videos from all our artists, where they can be viewed on the Three Rooks Records youtube channel , content will also be updated with new promo videos, release previews and maybe even some full-on music videos at some point in the future.

Vocal recording for Koboloris's first new song since their debut EP, will start tomorrow! This track will form part of the blueprint that will make up the songs on their new longer EP which will be ready around the end of February 2013.

Miseria Visage's progress in the studio is also good, having recently finished all the guitar tracks on the debut EP 'Vanish into Dark' which will be released in January 2013.

However, before all that happens, expect the debut EP 'Infernal Solitude' from Bergelmir, a release date will be announced soon!

Also, things are progressing well for Miseria Visage. Guitar recording and drums for the forthcoming EP 'Vanish into Dark' is pretty much complete! A release time of January 2013 now seems certain for this five track EP that will be available primarily on CD. Don't forget to follow this project on the Miseria Visage Facebook page, the demo single 'Offering' is a must-listen for all fans of symphonic black metal!

Miseria Visage - Release Plans!

Having already revealed the first demo single 'Offering', Miseria Visage is already moving on to greater things with an EP release now being recorded. 

'Vanish into Dark' will be available in both CD and download format. Fans who pledge their alligence by buying the CD will be rewarded with an additional song, making this a five track EP!

No release date has yet been set, but expect 'Vanish into Dark' to arrive around January 2013, until then - check out the debut song 'Offering', and don't forget to go and like new Miseria Visage Facebook page ..

We are proud to welcome Miseria Visage to the label!

Miseria Visage is a symphonic black metal project with a difference. While not being afraid to experiment with neo-classical guitar melodies and orchestration, furious black metal vocals and punishing blast beats keep this music firmly in a cold, dark realm of its own. The project creates music around the 'Face of Misery' concept, with 'Visage' representing the face or the self, and 'Miseria' - the Latin word for Misery.

Miseria Visage's first demo single 'Offering' is available now as a free download from the Three Rooks Bandcamp, complete with artwork and liner notes! Also, look forward to a debut EP scheduled for 2013, the work-in-progress song from this release 'Vanish into Dark' can be heard on our Soundcloud page.
