Koboloris- New video & progress report!

Final mixing is almost complete on the first half of the Koboloris debut EP, scheduled for release in August. Only one more track of bass guitar and two songs worth of vocals need recording to complete the last two tracks on the EP, including a seven minute long epic entitled "Woods of Kobolorum", a song that explores the themes behind the project's name.

In the mean time, check out "Malign Inspiration" in video form, including full lyrics and with audio that is the final EP mix!

New Koboloris interview & FREE song download!

Our very own Koboloris have given an interview with genre-eclectic music blog Rising Sun Freestyle.
These guys tackle everything from Japanese rap to Metal, so we are proud that Koboloris have been given the chance to represent their genre on here.

Add to that, a bunch of interview questions nothing short of epic in scope, we are talking everything from philosophy, to post apocalyptic scenario's, to musical influences here, basically just go and read it.

Koboloris EP studio progress report!

So, it looks like August will be the likely month of release for Koboloris's debut EP!

Although currently unnamed, the writing and recording of the two-man project's first work is going well. The main rhythm guitar tracks for all four songs have been recorded, leaving only some lead guitar parts left to finish, expect rich lead harmonies, but of course no solos! The majority of percussion and bass guitar has also been recorded, leaving only the final track to finish. Vocal duties are now the main element left for the duo's second member to tackle, with so far only vocals for "Malign Inspiration" having been recorded, some work on the lyrics is being undertaken first.

More details will arrive as we know them.

New song / video from Koboloris!

Writing and recording for the Koboloris debut EP is progressing nicely, however, while you wait, there are a few hidden gems we would like the share with you. The first of these is a raw bootleg track in the form of a song called "Lupinotuum", the very first song ever composed by the band back in May of this year. You won't find this on their upcoming EP!

We now also have a Vimeo Channel, and will be using this the share tracks from our bands, studio footage and maybe even full music videos, so it made perfect sense to share the first of Koboloris's bootleg tracks this way too.. please enjoy the song and subscribe to stay in the loop!

Obscure schemes of conquest..

Good news! If you enjoyed Koboloris's debut track, there is more music on the way, sooner than expected. You won't have to wait until the main demo EP release date to hear some new material as they will be making public a couple of one-off bootleg recordings very soon. This is some of the very first music ever written by the band, but remixed and remastered.

As promised, we are proud to reveal the very first band on Three Rooks. Hailing from the desolate hills of Yorkshire, may we present our very finest purveyor of blastbeats and dark riffs- Koboloris.

6 days to go .. the time is nigh.

The time is nearly upon us, only six days remain until we announce our very first artist!
I thought it was time we revealed a few more details about our primordial band:

-They are UK-based and not a solo project.

-The first song will be available for free download through the Three Rooks Bandcamp and the band's own Reverbnation page ( soon to be revealed ).

-Expect them to follow up with a four track demo release, some time between late July and the end of August this year.

-Live shows and a video are on the cards.

-Soon we will be seeking out zines who would be interested in reviewing their first four-track demo release and/or conduct interviews with the band. Let us know if you fall into this category, although chances are we will contact you first, preference is for black metal/extreme metal zines.

-Expect a dedicated official band website soon!
